Supporting the 1919 Charity Cycling Initiative
In late 2025, members of the Life & Living Taiwan office took part in the Taipei companion ride of the 1919 Love on the Move charity cycling initiative. This long-running charity program combines cycling and fundraising to support families facing urgent hardship, including financial difficulty and unexpected life challenges.
Through cycling across different regions of Taiwan, the initiative helps connect communities, raise awareness, and bring resources to families in need.

Joining the Taipei Companion Ride
The Taipei companion ride marked the kickoff of the 15-day journey around Taiwan. On the day of the event, colleagues from the Life & Living Taipei office gathered at the designated location to ride alongside the cyclists for part of the route. After the companion ride, the team sent the cyclists off as they continued their journey around the island.
Although the distance covered by our team represented only part of the full route, riding together was a meaningful way to show encouragement and support for the charity effort.

Forming a Team Through Shared Values
For this year’s charity cycling initiative, Life & Living formed a dedicated cycling team and took part in the ride through a relay format, collectively completing the journey around Taiwan. The team’s participation reflected a shared commitment to the values behind the initiative.
This year, the participation of two team members was made possible through the invitation of Christopher Lin, Founder of Life & Living. Christopher has long taken part in charity cycling activities himself and has consistently supported the initiative through hands-on involvement. By riding alongside others year after year, he has set an example that meaningful charity begins with personal action.
Riding Together Across Generations
Among the participating team members were Mauro Bonfanti and Lin Yu Fen, who joined the cycling team as part of the relay effort.
Mauro Bonfanti, Life & Living’s International Vice President from Italy, has long been involved in cycling-based charity initiatives. For this event, he traveled to Taiwan with his family, hoping to share the experience with his wife and daughter, introduce them to Taiwan, and pass on the values behind charitable action through participation.
Lin Yu Fen joined the cycling team with determination and preparation. Without a regular exercise routine prior to the event, she committed herself to training so that she could take part alongside her teammates. Her effort reflected the spirit of the initiative, showing how shared values can encourage individuals to challenge themselves and contribute together.
JIA Provides In-Kind Support for the Charity Initiative
In addition to participation on the road, JIA, a brand under Life & Living, supported the charity initiative through in-kind support by providing practical cookware items as event gifts for participants and supporters.
By offering everyday household items, we hope to extend the spirit of charity beyond the ride itself and encourage more people to take part in charitable actions in ways that fit their daily lives.
A Continued Commitment to Charity
For Life & Living, supporting charity initiatives goes beyond sponsorship. It is about showing up, taking part, and passing shared values forward through action.
We are grateful to the cyclists, volunteers, and partners who made this charity journey possible, and we look forward to continuing our involvement in meaningful charity initiatives in the years ahead.
